Have you ever wondered how some musicians can simply hear a song or riff and repeat it on their instrument? Do you think musicians have some innate gift or is there some method to this madness?

I’m relieved to say YES there is a method and YES it can be taught. I teach the tools musicians use to understand and navigate the language of music. We will learn tons of songs, the patterns and techniques that connect them, and how to use that information to find your own unique voice on your instrument.

Highwood School of Music is the dedicated instruction of multi-instrumentalist, Zachary Kidder, operating out of Midwest Young Artists Conservatory in Highwood, IL.

Zach is a patient and committed instructor who has always been passionate about sharing his love for music. His lessons are always conducted with patience, understanding, and support. After 13 years of teaching experience, he is able to meet you where you are in your progress and help you define goals that will let you achieve the next level.
